As many ATS V owners are finding out, the LF4 engine is running out of fuel when it reaches about 19psi on a catless setup. Several have lost their motors already due to shops pushing too much boost. Loads on the street for a turbo car are especially harder on it vs. on a dyno and road racers are putting the car to the limits even more.
WXM is first to market with a very simple solution that can be done without any changes and unlike the pushrod V8s, the cam swap can happen in under 4 hours, even for a first timer. The WXM cam has the factory specs but overdrives the mechanical fuel pump to create more fuel pressure per cam revolution.
We are currently running about 21psi and as you can see we have plenty of rail pressure as well as line pressure! In the bottom section of the graph, you can see the commanded rail pressure (yellow) is 3190PSI and the actual rail pressure (white) fluctuating above that number after the shift occurs and has caught up. The line pressure (teal) bounces up and down some but it is holding true around 72psi!
PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS NEEDS DONE BY SOMEONE FAMILIAR WITH DOHC ENGINES AND WILL NEED CAM SET TOOLS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE FOUND BELOW. SET TOOLS CAN BE PURCHASED WITH THE CAM AS WELL.
